2. Policy and Public Affairs: An Introductory Toolkit

Hosted by the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC), this online event is catered to those unfamiliar with the world of policy and public affairs.
AMRC’s introductory workshop aims to equip participants with the confidence needed to enter the field, promising a foundational understanding of policy and public affairs in the medical research sector.
Spanning the course of two afternoons, the event offers a combination of presentations and panel discussions led by a number of industry professionals such as Dr Mehwaesh Islam, Anna Evans, and Jo McGowan.

3. Culture and Values at the Heart of Policymaking: An Insider’s Guide
When? 14 July 2020
The Institute for Policy Research is hosting the upcoming launch of ‘Culture and Values at the Heart of Policymaking: An Insider’s Guide’, a new study by Stephen Muers, the Head of Strategy and Market Development at Big Society Capital.
Alongside Jill Rutter, a Senior Research Fellow at the UK In a Changing Europe, Muers will discuss his experience as a senior government policymaker as part of a detailed exploration of the impact of culture on political systems and policy success.
